Rain early in Fiesta has cut into attendance and revenue at the Fiesta Carnival, organizers said.
In response, the carnival is promoting a one-day “Thrifty Thirsty Thursday” event, offering $15 unlimited-ride wristbands along with $3 food items and $3 cold drinks. The promotion is valid Thursday only, must be purchased at the ticket box and can’t be combined with other offers.
The carnival, held at the Alamodome grounds, is one of Fiesta’s larger attractions and a key fundraiser tied to the city’s annual celebration supporting local nonprofits.
Organizers are hoping improved weather later in the week will help recover some of the lost attendance.
