An early childhood education facility broke ground in April, a longtime downtown Round Rock bar rebranded and new restaurants shared plans to open in the area in this collection of local business updates.
Now Open
The orthodontic practice uses a variety of orthodontic treatments to remedy dental issues, such as cross bites, crowded teeth, gaps between teeth, overbites, underbites, protruding teeth and more. Treatments include metal braces, ceramic braces, Invisalign, clear aligners, Carriere braces and other services. The practice, led by Dr. Adriana Da Silveira, also offers Invisalign virtual appointments, as well as free virtual consultations. Dr. Da Silveira has also served families in Bee Cave for nearly a decade.
Locally owned by Eric VanDyke, the shop sells new and used LEGO sets, bulk LEGO bricks, components and third-party accessories. The company also buys and trades all LEGO-branded merchandise. LEGO enthusiasts have thousands of pieces to select from to help rebuild childhood sets or create one-of-a-kind assemblies. The company has more than 240 locations across the U.S. and Canada, including two stores in Austin and one in Bee Cave.

The business recently reopened in Round Rock under new management. The restaurant serves a range of North Indian and Indo-Chinese cuisine. Patrons will find a variety of entrees, including chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, chicken korma, shezwan noodles, fried rice, biryani and more. Appetizers include veggie samosa, onion pakoda, chicken lollipops and garlic shrimp. For beverages, the restaurant offers mango lassi, masala chai and canned beverages.
The Crepe Lab offers a variety of sweet and savory crepes, croissant-waffles, omelettes, and a diverse savory menu of pasta dishes and sandwiches. The restaurant also serves coffee beverages, matcha and gelato. The menu is available for dine-in, takeout and delivery.
The discount retailer offers clothing, shoes and accessories for children, infants, men and women. Clothing is also offered in juniors and extended sizing. In addition to apparel, the store offers electronics and home items. Previously, the company operated under the name Melrose Family Fashions. The space was formerly occupied by Party City, which closed in February 2025, after the company filed for bankruptcy.
The youth soccer training facility is meant to help children learn skills they need to be successful in soccer, as well as to develop their self confidence to be successful in life. The facility offers programs for children ages 1.5-9 years old. The company’s foundation programs focus on developing motor skills, cognitive development, balance and more. Fundamental programs focus more on the technical aspects of the sport, including soccer coordination and understanding of the game. The advanced programs are designed for children to build off the earlier stages of training.
The party supply shop offers helium balloons, balloon arrangements, tableware, serveware, seasonal decorations and candles for a variety of occasions including baby showers, bachelor and bachelorette, graduation, birthdays and sports events.

A new early childhood education facility broke ground in Round Rock in April. The Goddard School provides childcare and early education for children ages six weeks to six years old. The new campus will include a multi-purpose room and multiple playgrounds. This future location of The Goddard School is owned by Swetal Soni, Pinak Gohel, Vaishali Gohel and Rohan Munshi, who also own a Georgetown location of the early childhood education franchise.
The Leander-based restaurant will expand to Round Rock later this year. Co-owner Bobby Hernandez said he expects the Round Rock location to open in June or July and the Cedar Park location to open in October or November. Hernandez said the menu will be the same across all three locations. The Conejos website describes it as “a menu that blends classic Mexican staples with bold Tex-Mex flair with Southern style.” Offerings include tacos, fajitas, enchiladas, quesadillas and more.

Locally owned by Ryan and Erica Chody, the barbecue truck will open in the Sunset on the ‘Rise Food Truck Park. Named for a beloved dog, Ryan Chody said the food truck will offer authentic, slow-smoked BBQ cooked over a traditional offset smoker in a grand opening event 6-9 p.m. March 15 and 11 a.m.-9 p.m. May 16, with a special breakfast taco menu 8 a.m.-12 p.m. May 17. Creasy’s offers prime brisket, pulled pork, smoked turkey breast, pork spare ribs and pulled ham as well as breakfast tacos.
What’s next?
The apparel retailer is coming to the Round Rock Premium Outlets, a new project filing shows. Known for its denim offerings, Buckle stocks clothing for men, women and children across a variety of brands including Birkenstock, Free People, Miss Me and Rock & Revival. A project filing registered with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations shows work to renovate the future retail space is set to begin and end this fall.
Closings
The shop closed its Round Rock location in January, after a near 17-year run selling discounted and refurbished personal computers, laptops and technology accessories. While the Round Rock location of Discount Electronics is closed, the retailer’s location at 4005 W. Parmer Ln., Ste. D, Austin remains open, as well as its business operations center in Pflugerville. The store first opened July 7, 2009, and the business recently renovated its Parmer location.
The social club and poker room closed in Round Rock mid-March amid a state investigation over alleged gambling violations. The business stated in a social media post March 15 that no charges were filed and that it was unclear when the card room would be able to resume operations. A Worker Adjustment & Retraining Notification filed March 31 shows that The Lodge Card Club laid off 144 employees just a few days before, on March 24.

The bar and restaurant in downtown Round Rock known as Alcove Cantina relaunched April 10 under a new name: Sociedad. Along with a name change, the restaurant’s interior, menu, and tequila and mezcal selection was revamped. The menu features a variety of Mexican cuisine, such as a stacked enchiladas, steak ranchero, smokey chicken tinga, nachos and brisket bbq tacos.
