TEXAS (KAUZ) – Texas gas prices have fallen for the second straight week, giving drivers a bit of relief even as international oil market volatility continues, according to AAA Texas.
AAA Texas’ Gas Watch report shared that the statewide gas price average in Texas is $3.60 per gallon for regular unleaded fuel, which is 14 cents less when compared to this day last week and is 85 cents more per gallon compared to this day last year.
“Drivers across Texas are getting a small break as gas prices move lower for the second week in a row.
That said, oil markets are still reacting to events overseas, and any new disruption involving global crude supply could affect what drivers pay in the weeks ahead.”
Although prices at the pump have eased, AAA Texas said that crude oil remains elevated, with Brent above $101 a barrel and West Texas Intermediate near $93, as tensions involving Iran and shipping disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz continue to create uncertainty in global energy markets.
