Public outreach sessions set in Corpus Christi to help owners file protests, review valuations, and ask questions ahead of tax deadlines.
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Property owners in Nueces County will have extra opportunities this spring and early summer to meet with residents and discuss their property values, exemptions, or tax protests as part of a public outreach effort by the Nueces Central Appraisal District (NCDA).
Chief Appraiser Debra D. Morin says staff will be available during extended weekday and weekend hours to help residents understand their property appraisals and resolve disputes ahead of the 2026 tax year.
The additional in-person hours will take place at the NCAD office, 201 N. Chaparral St., in Corpus Christi.
The scheduled outreach dates include:
Saturday, April 25 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.Saturday, May 2 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.Wednesday, June 24 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. (evening hours included)
Officials say the goal is to make it easier for property owners to ask questions, file protests, and better understand how property values are determined.
The office also aims to help residents learn their rights and responsibilities under the Texas Property Tax Code.
The last day to file a property protest is May 15, or 30 days from the date listed on a property appraisal notice, whichever comes later.
