The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will host the ninth annual Central Texas Vines and Wines program on May 12 at the AgriLife Extension office for McLennan County, 4224 Cobbs Drive, Waco.

The event is hosted by the AgriLife Extension Horticulture Committees serving Bell, Bosque, Coryell, Falls, Hill, Limestone and McLennan counties and the Master Gardeners of McLennan County.
Registration and breakfast begin at 8 a.m., with the program starting promptly at 8:30 a.m. The registration fee is $35 per person and includes an Italian lunch with local vineyard wine sampling. One Texas Department of Agriculture integrated pest management continuing education unit will be available.

Irrigation Strategies for Texas Wines — Michael Cook, AgriLife Extension viticulture program specialist, Denton.
An Italian lunch and local vineyard wine sampling will be held from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Nutrition Management and Petiole Sampling — Daniel Hillin, AgriLife Extension viticulture program specialist, Department of Horticultural Sciences, Lubbock.
Root Physiology, Environment and Soil Health in Grapevines — Lorenzo Rossi, Ph.D., assistant professor, Department of Horticultural Sciences, Bryan-College Station.
