The Cleveland Browns drafted Texas A&M wide receiver 24th overall Thursday in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft.
He’s the first Aggie to be drafted, with several other A&M teammates expected to hear their names called this weekend.
Concepcion started in all 13 games during his one season with the Aggies, recording 919 receiving yards, 61 receptions and nine touchdowns. He added 456 yards and two touchdowns as a punt returner. Concepcion spent his first two seasons with North Carolina State, where he tallied 124 receptions, 1,299 yards and 16 touchdowns.
A product of Charlotte, N.C., he was a three-star recruit in the 2023 recruiting class from Chambers High School. Concepcion was the 568th-ranked recruit in the class and the 21st-ranked prospect in North Carolina.
The shifty 196-pound wideout was named the 2025 Paul Hornung Award winner as the most versatile player in major college football, recognized for his elite performance in receiving and punt returns. He was also named a 2025 Consensus All-American and first-team All-SEC.
Much of the conversation this draft cycle centered on Concepcion’s lack of size, as he measured in at just under 6 feet, and testing at the NFL Scouting Combine. However, his versatility to play all over the formation, as well as his role as a special teams weapon, has him near the top of most draft rankings.
Entering the weekend, he was ranked No. 35 (Pro Football Focus), No. 12 (CBS), No. 32 (ESPN) and No. 27 (Tankathon) among prospects.
