Some critics argue that C.J. Stroud and the Houston Texans regressed during the 2025 NFL season after a poor playoff performance in a 28-16 loss to the New England Patriots.

Stroud, the 2023 AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, once looked like the future of the league, but the quarterback threw four interceptions in a divisional round playoff game.

Could the Texans’ draft position help them bring in needed help on offense?

For the 2025 season, the Houston Texans’ offensive line was generally regarded as one of the worst units in the NFL, often ranking at or near the bottom depending on the metric.

According to Sharp Football Analysis, the Texans ranked last overall in offensive line play. ESPN also had them ranked near the bottom of the league.
