EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — A dam in West El Paso could overflow and affect roads like Doniphan and Paisano, the utility company warns.
According to El Paso Water, crews are working to reduce pressure on Cement Lake as they recognize that it could breach.
Cement Lake is located in an undeveloped pocket between I-10 and Doniphan Drive.
EPWater said it is coordinating with local agencies as crews work to maintain the structure.
The utility company added that it acquired Cement Lake and 300 surrounding acres in March from the Texas Department of Transportation as part of an open space acquisition.
