NWS: Hot weather arrives, precautions needed through weekend, next week

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — If you have been waiting for some warm weather, the time has come.

Daytime highs in San Antonio should get close to 90 Friday afternoon, and things will only get hotter from there, according to the National Weather Service.

What You Need To Know:

Heat related illness possible for those not taking proper precautions and not yet acclimated to the heat
Drink plenty of water, take breaks out of the sun

Severe weather could also play a role in the forecast beginning Friday evening and continuing through Saturday evening.
