After a mostly cloudy, gray Thursday, a chance of severe weather returns Friday to North Texas. 

The day will begin cloudy before they gradually clear out after mid-morning, according to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office. Day temperatures are expected to top out at 88 degrees. There is a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms in North Texas after 1 p.m.

Overnight temperatures are expected to drop to a low near 65 degrees. 

The forecast calls for a mix of sunshine and rain with a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms each night this weekend. The days will be somewhat sunny, according to the weather service’s forecast. 

The upcoming week will bring sunny days although there is a steady chance for showers and thunderstorms each day.
