Bertram Vandenberg’s appointment will be effective on April 30, 2026, and will serve until the council appoints a permanent city attorney.
DALLAS — Dallas City Council named a new City Attorney, replacing the current one who is set to retire, according to a press release.Â
Bertram Vandenberg has been appointed as the new Interim City Attorney. Tammy Palomino will be retiring at the end of April. Palomino previously replaced Chis Caso in 2023Â after his retirement.Â
Vandenberg graduated from SMU Law School in 2022 and has been with the Dallas City Attorney’s office for 19 years.Â
