Hawaiian’s membership means that its travelers will get access to Oneworld’s global network of almost 1,000 destinations, the alliance said, adding that top-tier guests will get perks like first class check-in, lounges and more. Hawaiian operates about 230 daily flights to, from and within the Hawaiian Islands and carried more than 11 million passengers last year, Oneworld said.
Hawaiian was acquired by Alaska Airlines in 2024, but still operates as a distinct brand. The latter is reportedly exploring a partnership with Fort Worth-based American that falls short of a full-fledged merger. On an earnings call Thursday, American Airlines CEO Robert Isom all but acknowledged the possibility.
