Project:
The project will reconstruct CR 199 from CR 132 to FM 1660 South.
Update: In January, city council approved orders for coordination services with Union Pacific Railroad and the Texas Department of Transportation, including utility coordination services. Per city documents, the current Capital Improvement 5-Year Plan has funding for construction in Fiscal Year 2028.

Project: The project will construct turn lanes and make signal improvements at the intersection of FM 1660 South and US 79.

Old Town parking and traffic improvements
Project:
The city is converting select downtown streets into one-way traffic to improve flow and safety, while adding parking. Changes include new parallel parking on East Street.
Update: According to city officials, crews completed the conversion of Main Street into a one-way road going southbound from Live Oak Street to Hwy. 79 on April 2. Crews will next work on phase 3 of the project, which will convert West Street into a one-way road going northbound. Construction is expected to begin this month.
