As he begins his NFL career, Cowboys first-round pick Caleb Downs has some new footwear to add to his wardrobe.
The personal touch from the team was welcomed by the two-time unanimous All-American, who said in his introductory press conference he felt like he was stepping into a “family organization” when he was drafted by the Cowboys.
“It’s a great feeling, honestly. You can tell everyone has a real family feel around here,” Downs said while sitting next to owner Jerry Jones and head coach Brian Schottenheimer. “When I came on my top-30 visit, you get to meet everybody and I asked ‘How long have you been here?’ and there were countless people who said they’ve been here 10 years, 13 years, 15 years. You can tell it’s a real family organization, just from the time that people have spent together.”
