While kids love Halloween for the endless scares and candy, adults definitely take advantage of the holiday! I think we all know that adults also like dressing up for Halloween, and some like to use the holiday as a time to spice things up, at least that’s according to a new study.

Texas is all in for Adultoween

A new study from SmutFinder shows the Lone Star State ranks eighth nationwide for kinky Halloween fantasies, clocking in at about 20% more activity than the national average.Turns out, the rest of the country isn’t the only one getting creative with their costumes, Texans are leading the charge in making spooky season a little more sultry.

According to the study, Texans show one of the strongest spikes in adult-themed Halloween searches during October and November. Researchers analyzed thousands of Google searches for terms like “naughty cheerleader,” “hot Velma,” and “kinky ghost.”

And sure enough, Texas landed in the top 10 kinkiest states, proving that our spooky season comes with a side of heat.

When it comes to Halloween fantasies, Raven from Teen Titans is the undisputed queen of Texas searches. Her dark and mysterious vibe clearly hits the right notes with Texans looking to add a little edge to their fantasy lineup.

She’s followed closely by Mavis from Hotel Transylvania, that’s the animated goth vampire who’s apparently stolen a few human hearts. And Velma from Scooby-Doo, whose combination of brains and boldness keeps her a steady favorite. These seem a bit odd because they’re kids’ cartoons, but when adult imagination meets nostalgia anything is possible.

On the broader theme front, searches for “Spider,” “Cheerleader,” and “Ghost” also dominate across Texas, showing that locals like a mix of playful, powerful, and paranormal.

So whether you’re dressing as a vampire, a witch, or a moody cartoon heroine, Halloween in Texas clearly isn’t just about the candy anymore. “Adultoween” has officially taken over, and if this year’s search data is any clue, Texans are embracing it with open arms, and maybe a few strategically placed costume cutouts.

Just remember: stay safe and keep it consensual.
