San Antonio’s Southtown neighborhood is one of the city’s top places to find interesting eats and drinks. A new bar concept is taking over a historic Southtown space that has previously been a stop for live piano music, cocktails and art.

Stout’s Jewel at King William is the new business taking over the property at 1102 S. Alamo St., which was most recently home to The Jewel in King William. Prior to that, it was a coffee shop called Eleven O Two. The people behind Stout’s Jewel already have established concepts across San Antonio and beyond, including Stout’s Pizza Co. and  Stout’s Signature. The Alamo Street property itself dates back the 1850s and maintains aspects of the building’s long historical run.

Though a website and an Instagram account have been set up for Stout’s Jewel, the new concept will not be officially debuting until the fall of 2026. Until then, the bar will do pop-ups for special occasions, according to a blurb from owner Jason Stout on the business’s homepage.

“We’re happy to announce that we have acquired the building that was once The Jewel! Over the next few months, please follow us on Instagram for updates — our team will be ‘popping-up’ from time to time for events such as First Fridays and Fiesta, and of course King William Fair,” Stout said in the blurb.

MySA has reached out to Stout’s Jewel via its online contact form, and we will provide updates as more details about the concept are made available.
