As of Saturday morning, they had have 13 pumps installed and additional pumps were expected to arrive later Saturday.

Road closures around the lake continue to remain in place.

Officials have previously said they may need to remove up to 10 feet of water to reduce pressure and stabilize the dam.

If the dam were to fail, roads in the area could be inundated with water. A nearby residential community sits on higher ground and homes are not expected to flood, but access to the neighborhood could be disrupted.

Authorities are urging the public to stay out of closed areas, follow all traffic controls, and remain alert for updates.
