EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – Former El Paso City Manager Tommy Gonzalez’s consultant agreement with the Town of Pecos will come to an end after a unanimous council vote.

Gonzalez’s agreement with Pecos expires on April 30, according to a Pecos council decision. Councilman Randy Graham proposed the action.

“I know his contract runs out in a week or two but I would like for everybody to know how we feel about this to also put it on record,” Graham said before the vote.

Graham said the Town of Pecos has paid Gonzalez $9,500 a month for consulting services. According to a copy of his contract, Gonzalez has worked as a consultant for Pecos since 2024.

Gonzalez is the current city manager of Midland. He was appointed by the Midland City Council in July 2023. The El Paso City Council voted to end Gonzalez’s agreement earlier that year in a 5-4 vote.

KTSM has reached out to the City of Midland and Gonzalez for comment.
