MORGANTOWN, W. VA. – Houston Volleyball is back in action this week as it heads to West Virginia for a 5 p.m. CT, Thursday, match against the Mountaineers.

The Cougars’ middle duo of Kellen Morin and Barakat Rahmon sit in fourth and fifth in the Big 12 with 1.32 and 1.27 blocks per set, respectively. Houston is the only Big 12 school with two players with at least 1.25 blocks per set. 
Head Coach David Rehr is in his seventh season at the helm of the Cougars. In his time with Houston, he’s posted a 123-72 record, including a 73-39 record in conference play.
The Cougars have a strong record against the current Big 12 landscape, holding a 137-110 record against league foes all-time. 
The Cougars’ blocking effort has been a highlight for the team this season. Ranking 19th in the nation with 2.73 blocks per set, Houston’s mark currently sits as the team’s highest since 1998 when the team amassed 3.03 per set. The total is the second most in the Big 12, behind only Arizona State’s 2.83. 
Rahmon is eighth in the Big 12 with a .351 hitting percentage. 
Senior Lottie Scully ranks third among active Big 12 players with 2,985 assists. She is just 15 assists away from 3,000 in her career.
Senior Bre Reid has posted 957 kills in her career, just 43 away from 1,000. She has the seventh most kills among active players in the Big 12 Conference.
