An 18-year-old has died from his injuries after a golf cart accident in central Lubbock on April 21.
Police say Jonathan Garcia passed away on Thursday, April 23.
Around 9 p.m., Lubbock police officers initially responded to assist EMS at 2nd Street and Avenue K. That’s when officers found Garcia with serious injuries. He was taken to UMC for treatment.
Crash investigators say it appears Garcia was a front passenger in a golf cart that was traveling north in the 200 block of Ave. K. As the golf cart turned west onto 2nd Street, Garcia fell out.
The driver and a second passenger of the golf cart were not injured.
