The Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) Board of Directors has elected Randall Bryant, a prominent figure in Dallas’s business and political landscape, as its new Board Chair. At 38, Bryant becomes the youngest person and the 22nd chair to lead the agency in its 42-year history, bringing a fresh perspective and a strong background in local community advocacy to the post.

Bryant, who represents the City of Dallas, was elected to a two-year term following the board’s vote on October 28, 2025. His appointment is particularly significant, as he is the Immediate Past Chair of the Dallas Black Chamber of Commerce, a leadership role that connects him directly to the needs and priorities of the Dallas business and minority communities that heavily rely on DART services.

“I have had the privilege of representing the City of Dallas as a member of the DART board of directors since 2024 and it’s an honor to now lead this Board and DART into the next era,” Bryant said.

He outlined an ambitious agenda focused on both immediate improvements and long-term vision. His key priorities include:

Developing amicable legislative solutions regarding DART’s governance and funding.

Ensuring a safe and secure transit system for all riders.

Expanding the use of innovation and technology across the agency.

Extending dedicated service to new member cities.

Partnering with local school districts to drive trade education to benefit DART and future North Texas workforces.

Appointed to the DART Board by the Dallas City Council in 2024, Bryant was reappointed to a full term in May 2025. He is the CEO of Politics United Marketing, a North Texas firm specializing in government affairs and political consultancy. Beyond the Black Chamber, his extensive civic involvement includes service on the Dallas Citizens Council and the North Texas Commission.

“The newly elected officials of the DART Board of Directors are staunch advocates for the Agency. Their election represents a Board dedicated to the advancement of the DART mission to offer best-in-class mobility experiences that help people and communities connect and flourish,” said Nadine Lee, DART CEO & President.

Other officers elected to leadership positions include:

Vice Chair: Marc C. Abraham (City of Garland)

Secretary: Carmen Garcia (City of Dallas)

Assistant Secretary: Mark C. Enoch (Cities of Garland, Glenn Heights, and Rowlett)

The new Board officers were officially sworn in by Walt Humann, a highly respected figure in Dallas known as the “father” of DART, underscoring the historic and important nature of the leadership transition.
