ARLINGTON — Rangers left fielder Wyatt Langford has gotten back into the swing of things.
Langford is eligible to return May 2 against the Detroit Tigers. The Rangers have largely hit their designated hitter — Joc Pederson against right-handed pitchers and Andrew McCutchen against left-handed pitchers — in the two hole with Langford out.
Right-handed pitcher Chris Martin, on the 15-day injured list with a right shoulder impingement, received a cortisone injection last week and played catch Saturday and Sunday. He is eligible to be reinstated April 30, and while his exact return timeline remains unclear, the 39-year-old said Sunday that his shoulder has felt better of late.
