The North Texas venue carried extra meaning for Collins’ family. The resort is the future site of the 2027 PGA Championship and tied to a lifelong passion of Collins’ father, Bob, who spent his career as a PGA professional golf instructor.
The wedding came a little more than a year after Shayesteh proposed at Pebble Beach Golf Links in March 2025, after a round of golf. Family members were there for the surprise proposal, which Collins previously said had been months in the making.
“Playing Pebble Beach Golf Course in California was already a dream,” Collins told Chron at the time. “To get engaged on the property was unreal!”
Several familiar faces from TV news were in attendance, including Rashi Vats, who served as a bridesmaid. Collins’ former KSEE24 co-anchor Brody Logan also attended. The pair previously joked on-air about Logan wanting no part of Collins’ TikTok videos.
Collins later shared clips from the celebration on TikTok, where she has nearly 2 million followers. In one video, she became emotional while recalling one of her favorite moments of the night: a performance by the Jordan Kahn band, which she said had been one of the couple’s most anticipated parts of the wedding. Her sister, Lexi, also DJed during the reception.
Collins joined FOX 26 Houston in December 2022 after working as a morning anchor at KSEE24 in California. She and Shayesteh began dating shortly before her move to Houston after meeting at a charity golf outing in Fresno, then maintained a long-distance relationship until he later relocated.
Before Houston, Collins worked at WFMJ in Ohio and WJET-WFXP in Pennsylvania. A Pennsylvania native and avid golfer, she attended Point Park University on a full golf scholarship and played on the women’s golf team.
