    The Texans hosted their 2025 home opener at the Tarleton State Invitational, finishing the weekend 1-2.

•    Tarleton State opened the weekend against New Mexico. The Texans posted a 57 kills, their highest of the season. 

•    Tarleton State finished 2-1 in their season opening tournament at Louisiana.

•    On Thursday, the Texans totaled 15 total blocks against New Mexico, setting a new record for Tarleton State’s NCAA Division I Era.

•    Madison Rice-Lockett was selected for the Tarleton State Invitational All-Tournament Team tallying 43 kills over the weekend. She recorded her career-high of 18 kills in the match against New Mexico.

•    Morgan Carter has established herself in the libero role for the Texans. She posted 20 digs against PVAMU

•    Megan Hodges notched 30 assists against New Mexico, which is a season high for the senior. She also accounted for three of the nine service aces against PVAMU.

•    Madison Frank totaled 9 blocks in the match against New Mexico, helping the Texans achieve their 15 total block Division 1 record high. 

•    First-year head coach Jazymne Johnson collected her first collegiate win with a sweep in the season opener. She is one of 25 first-year head coaches in the nation this season and one of 11 to record a winning record in the first weekend.

•    The Texans are undefeated against TAMU-CC, 1-0, in their only matchup in 2021.

•    Tarleton State will face Sam Houston for the first time since 2022.
