AUSTIN, TX – AMERMIN, the domestic leader in the acquisition and refinement of critical minerals, and Ulterra Drilling Technologies, L.P., (“Ulterra”) a leading supplier of polycrystalline diamond compact (PDC) drill bits worldwide, today announced an international expansion of their existing partnership to strategically recycle critical minerals.

Through this expansion, AMERMIN will process Ulterra’s waste streams from Argentina and Canada in addition to materials from their U.S.-based operations. The collaboration builds upon a three-year relationship between two leading innovators and highlights both companies’ commitment to sustainability.

“Reducing dependence on geopolitically complex supply chains for critical minerals is a strategic priority for the United States,” said Ryan McAdams, CEO of AMERMIN. “Building resilient, allied supply networks, alongside scaling domestic and international recycling, will be key to meeting the growing demand for advanced technologies. Our expanded partnership with Texas-based Ulterra supports the recovery of critical minerals from trusted partners, strengthening both supply security and sustainability.”

Together, the Texas-based companies recycle more than 21 waste streams, including tungsten, cobalt, copper, nickel, zinc, silver, carbon, iron, manganese, blast media, and synthetic and industrial diamond. By recovering and reprocessing end-of-life materials into manufacturing-grade inputs, AMERMIN is helping build a more resilient, domestic supply of critical minerals—reducing reliance on high-risk supply chains while extending the lifecycle of key resources.

“Ulterra is committed to delivering consistent performance while driving continuous improvement across our operations,” said Brian Hilburn, VP Supply Chain & QHSE for Ulterra. “Our partnership with AMERMIN demonstrates how investments in recycling and material recovery can reduce costs, strengthen supply chain reliability, and create long-term value. By reintegrating critical minerals into the manufacturing cycle, we’re advancing operational efficiency and circularity as we expand our collaboration.”

In 2025, AMERMIN recycled more than 1.4 million pounds of material from Ulterra, returning more than $1.7 million in value to Ulterra.
