CPS Energy: Multiple homes evacuated after gas line hit in south Bexar County

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — No injuries are reported after three homes were evacuated Monday night in south Bexar County.

KSAT 12 reports a gas line was hit by a non-CPS Energy third party contractor near Big Oak Run and Calaveras Cove.

CPS Energy is reminding you to leave your home right away if you think you smell gas, and then call either 911 or the utility at 210-353-HELP (4357).

Last week, multiple explosions caused heavy damage to homes and significant injuries to five people on the North Side, but that incident appears to be unrelated.
