Whataburger maintains several menu items geared toward children, with options like grilled cheese, Whatachick’n strips and the Justaburger. Soon, the Texas-based burger chain will add a little more fun to its Whatameals for kids.
Starting May 5, Whataburger will revamp its kids meals with the addition of new, interactive packaging alongside toys, collectibles and other surprise gifts that will be included in each box. The first surprise drop to kick off Whataburger’s new-and-improved kids meals will feature limited-edition stickers. Going forward, the surprises included in the kids Whatameals will rotate out with new drops throughout the year, according to a news release.
Whataburger’s kids meal packaging itself has also been redesigned to include games, mazes and puzzles to engage children while they eat their Whatameals.
“At Whataburger, some of the best memories are made around the table,” said Whataburger’s chief marketing officer, Scott Huddler. “This new Kids Whatameal brings a little more fun to those moments, giving families another reason to slow down, enjoy the time together and leave with a smile.”
The food itself will not be changing on Whataburger’s kids menu, so parents and guardians can still pick up Whatameals for their kiddos, with prices ranging from $3.89 to $6.49. Kids Whatameals come with a kid’s drink, a sweet treat and a choice between a small order of french fries or a Mott’s applesauce pouch.
