A new restaurant is coming to far East El Paso.
Tommy’s Korean Express was founded by South Korean natives and longtime El Paso restaurateurs Sung Song and Tommy Hwang as a place to get “quality, simple, scratch-made Korean food.”
Tommy’s Korean Express is opening a new location on Americas Avenue in far East El Paso.
Tommy’s Korean Express offers online ordering for pickup or delivery, as well as catering options. Among the restaurant’s favorite offerings are the do-it-yourself ramen station, scratch-made bibimbap, and Korean-inspired snacks.
Where is it?
The new Tommy’s Korean Express will be located at 710 Americas Ave. in far East El Paso, according to the city’s permit and licensing page.
The new restaurant site is near the Ysleta Port of Entry and Escoto U.S. Customs Brokers just off the Border Highway.
What was there before?
The new Tommy’s Korean Express location is being built atop what is currently a vacant lot.

Construction calls for a new 2,800 square-foot building.
Who is the contractor?
The contractor for the project is not listed on the city’s website, but the applicant is Rene Aguilar ofEP Grotto LLC in El Paso. The owner is listed as Tommy Song.
The value of the project is listed at $600,000.
