AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) – Goodwill’s Amarillo Resource Center is offering financial literacy classes to community members next month.
It is partnering with Amarillo National Bank for a four-part series of classes covering banking services, fraud prevention, credit management, and budgeting.
Jahnel McClain, regional manager of Goodwill Workforce Development, says the skills taught in these classes aim to provide long-term benefits.
“Helping them build a safety net, helping them understand that when I get that paycheck, I’m just not going to go blow it. We need to budget and delegate that so that we can build a stable and confident future,” said McClain.
McClain says each class is free, but is encouraging residents to sign up soon, as space is limited.
Classes begin May 5 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 1904 Bell St.
