LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Voter interest appears to be at its lowest in over a decade in this year’s city and school elections.
Close to 1,800 voters cast their ballots in Lubbock County on the final day of early voting on Tuesday.
A little less than 8,000 people have been to the polls during the early voting period. That is the lowest total since 2014.
As a reminder, polling locations on election day will be different than early voting. Voters can cast ballots Saturday, May 2 at schools and churches only.
