Only 14% of U.S. hospitals earned top ratings in the national ranking based on patient care, safety and experience.
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Corpus Christi Medical Center has been named to Forbes’ first-ever Top Hospitals list, placing it among a select group nationwide recognized for strong patient care.
CCMC said the ranking reviewed more than 5,400 hospitals nationwide. Only about 14% earned a four- or five-star rating, with CCMC among those recognized.
The list highlights hospitals that perform well in key areas, including patient outcomes, safety, value, and overall patient experience.
Forbes created the ranking with guidance from doctors, researchers, and patient advocates.
Hospital leaders said it is based on data from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
CCMC said the recognition reflects their focus on quality care and the work staff does each day to serve patients and build trust in the community.
