FORT WORTH – Sitting atop the Big 12 standings with one game to go, the fifth-ranked TCU women’s soccer team will close out the regular season against Houston on Thursday, Oct. 30, at 7 p.m. at Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium.

TCU NOTABLES


TCU has won 19 of its last 21 Big 12 regular season matchups coming into Thursday.
Emma Yolinsky earned Big 12 Freshman of the Week honors this past week.
TCU has earned five victories this season with game-winning goals scored in the 80th minute or later.
The Frogs have won seven Big 12 weekly awards so far this season, with Kamdyn Fuller, Seven Castain (3x), Morgan Brown, Cameron Patton and Emma Yolinsky taking home honors.

Prior to Castain’s hat trick against No. 14 Kansas, the last instance of three or more goals scored in a match was Castain against Colorado on Oct. 5, 2024, where she scored four.
Sydney Becerra scored a goal from outside the box to lead TCU over Kansas State.
Seven Castain is TCU’s top goal scorer, having 12 goals on the year.
Seven Castain scored her 32nd career goal and 11th game-winning goal at No. 14 Kansas.
Quinn Cornog and Katana Norman made their first starts for TCU in the 3-1 win over Iowa State.
Olivia Geller recorded a career-high six saves in the win against the Jayhawks.
Highly touted transfer Katana Norman made her TCU debut against Kansas State and has played in every match since.
Cameron Patton lead TCU with six assists.
TCU has used two goalies plentifully through 17 matches, with Olivia Geller posting 11 starts and Kira Ybarra also starting in six matches.
A total of 26 players have earned game minutes at this point in the year.
TCU defeated No. 9 Iowa in the third game of the season, recording its first victory against a top-10 opponent since August 22, 2021, vs. No. 9 Texas A&M.

HOUSTON NOTABLES


TCU is 10-2-3 all-time against Houston, holding a 5-1-2 record at home. The Frogs come into Thursday having not lost a showdown against the Cougars since 2002.
Samira Minor leads the Cougars with six goals, and 15 points on the year.
Four individuals are tied for the team lead of three assists.
Houston earned its two Big 12 victories over Cincinnati and Iowa State.
