In the coming months, construction will begin for a new Bojangles out in Converse, where it will be built from the ground up, according to a recently filed project details page with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The filing said that the construction process will run from June 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026, with an estimated cost of $1.8 million. However, details on construction filings are subject to change without notice.
MySA has reached out to Bojangles via email for more information on this third location headed for Converse, and we will update this story if and when we hear back from the North Carolina-based chain. The address for the new Bojangles on the outskirts of San Antonio is listed as 7613 FM 78, Converse, TX 78244, which places the location near a set of train tracks and Randolph Air Force Base off of 1604. Other restaurants in the area include Acapulco Express Mexican Restaurant, Papa Dante’s Italian Restaurant and Lai Sinh Vietnamese Cuisine.
Bojangles opened its first San Antonio location in August 2023, resulting in long lines that wrapped around the building at 8730 Potranco Road. The second San Antonio Bojangles opened its doors to the public on April 21. That location can be found at 3003 SW Military Drive, San Antonio, TX 78224.
