EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/ CBS4) — A 23-year-old woman from New Mexico was killed Thursday in a crash in Northwest El Paso involving a car and a semi.
According to the El Paso Police Department, Brissa Celestte Rodriguez died from the injuries she sustained after the 2015 Nissan Sentra she was driving rear-ended a semi at the 900 block of Artcraft Road, near Westside Drive, near the Texas-New Mexico state border.
Police said the Sentra was driving fast and described how the front wedged under the semi’s trailer.
Police said the crash is still under investigation.
According to police numbers, this is the 19th traffic death of 2026 compared to 21 at the same time last year.
