It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a truly remarkable soul – a person whose warmth, humor, and boundless love touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know Steven James Rodela-Ríos. He passed away peacefully on Friday, April 24, 2026, with his family by his side. To know Steven was to love him, and to love him was to be forever changed. Steven possessed a rare and wonderful gift: the ability to light up any room simply by walking into it. His quick wit was legendary – a sharp, effortless humor that could disarm even the most solemn of moments and coax laughter from those who needed it most. Steven had an uncanny talent for finding just the right words at just the right time, whether to deliver a perfectly timed joke or to offer comfort to a friend in need. But beneath that brilliant humor was a heart of extraordinary depth. Steven loved fiercely, generously, and without reservation. His family and friends were the center of his world, and he never missed an opportunity to remind those closest to him just how much they mattered. Whether it was an unexpected phone call or simply a knowing glance across the room, Steven had a way of making every person feel seen, valued, and cherished. He lived life with passion and purpose, embracing each day as a gift and each challenge as an opportunity. Steven taught those around him that joy is not something you wait for – it is something you create, nurture, and share. His laughter was contagious, his kindness was boundless, and his spirit was unbreakable. While words can scarcely capture the fullness of a life so richly lived and so deeply loved, we take comfort in knowing that Steven’s legacy endures – in the stories we will tell and retell, in the laughter that still echoes in our memories, and in the countless lives Steven made brighter simply by being who he was. Steven would not want us to mourn for long. He would want us to smile, to laugh, to carry forward the joy and love he so freely gave. And so we will – not because the grief is small, but because the love was immeasurably great. Rest now in peace. You were loved beyond measure, and you will be missed beyond words. Steven was proceeded in death by his father, Adolph Ríos. He is survived by his loving wife, Conzuelo Picón; sons, Steven Jr., Marcos (Jasmine), Jared, and Elijah; daughter, Giuliana; his cherished granddaughter, Amari; brother, Michael (Monica); sisters, Raynee (Gabriel) and Anna Rendon; mother, Juanita; as well as numerous other family members and dear friends. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 11:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 5001 Altamesa Boulevard, Fort Worth, Texas, 76132.
