East Coast cafe chain Toastique is expanding further into Texas, with plans to open two more locations in the Lone Star State.
The toast, juice and coffee bar concept filed a permit with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation in February to open a location in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The upcoming Toastique at 8060 Park Lane will be the fifth of its kind in the metroplex.
This week, Toastique filed another permit with TDLR for a location in Beaumont. According to project details submitted Wednesday, the chain will be renovating a space at 6755 Phelan Blvd., about an hour and a half away from Houston. Construction is expected in late June and finish by August’s end.
As always, information in TDLR filings is subject to change, and official opening dates have yet to be announced for either location.
According to Toastique’s website, there are six cafes in Texas, including Austin, Dallas, and Laredo. The healthy foods-focused concept, which has locations in nearly 20 states, was founded in 2018 by former D1 collegiate cheerleader Brianna Keefe. After experimenting with making her own juices and breakfast smoothies, she eventually opened a wellness cafe described as the “fast-casual, modern dining your inner health nut has been waiting for.”
“Whether you notice it or not, you eat with your eyes first and we are really taking on that concept. Everything on our menu, whether it be toast or a smoothie or an acai bowl, will be almost like a piece of art,” Keefe said in a statement.
In addition to its popular toasts, smoothies and acai bowls, Toastique’s menu has cold-pressed juice, wellness shots, grab-and-go bites and house-made treats.
