The Three Rivers Bulldogs held on for a 2-1 win over the Riviera Seahawks in their Class 2A Division I bi-district playoff series on April 30 at Calallen High School.
Three Rivers and Riviera will meet in Game 2 on Friday at 7 p.m. at Corpus Christi London High School. Game 3, if necessary, will be played on Saturday at noon at Calallen High School.
The Bulldogs scored their runs in the first and third innings.
Jayse Alvarado limited Riviera to two hits and struck out 12 for the complete-game victory.
Lathan Meyer went 1 for 3 and had Three Rivers’ lone RBI.
