Hundreds of fans flocked to El Paso Comic Con 2026 on the first day to take advantage of free admission thanks to Mango Cannabis.
Amelia Cunningham, marketing representative for Mango Cannabis, said the company was happy to be a big sponsor this year.
“A big thing for us is reaching out to the community and just being there for them. When they actually reached out to us first and asked us to be a sponsor, we jumped on it,” she said.

The El Paso Comic Con at the El Paso convention center is featuring many vendors with all kinds of items from T-shirts, posters and stickers to collectibles and kimonos and swords. Fans can look forward to meeting iconic celebrities like Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong who will be available for photographs this weekend.
And many attendees are having fun cosplaying with family and friends.

Luz Becerra, who dressed in a Sonic inspired outfit, said she was glad Mango Cannabis stepped in to offer a free day.
“I think it was great. It gave people who haven’t gone to the event before a great chance to maybe get a first taste and decide whether or not they want to come in for later days. I think it’s an experience that everyone should be able to enjoy at least once,” she said.
For some, comic con turned out to be a way to celebrate a new milestone.
Caylene Moreno, who is getting married Saturday, May 2, decided to bring her bridesmaids as a fun bachelorette hang.
“I was looking for something to do other than a dinner rehearsal so I figured meeting here at Comic Con would be a lot of fun,” she said.
The El Paso Comic Con continues from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, May 2 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 3. General admission tickets are $48.89 for Saturday and $37.21 for Sunday and available online.
