SAN ANTONIO – Tonight, the Jay Mustangs and Southwest Dragons clash in a pivotal matchup, with the winner taking the inside track to the District 14-5A-I crown.

Both teams are tied for first, making this game a must-win on Little Caesar’s Thursday Night Lights presented by Gamez Law Firm.

Jay Mustangs Preview

For the Mustangs, the goal is clear: a win tonight keeps them in control of the league race with just one game left. Jay comes in riding a four-game winning streak, including a dominant 36-7 victory over Laredo Martin last week.

Over that streak, the Mustangs have outscored opponents 153-33, showing both firepower and consistency on offense and defense.

Southwest Dragons Preview

Southwest is equally motivated. The young Dragons are developing fast, relying on a physical, smash-mouth running game.

Last week, they rallied to beat Eagle Pass Winn 29-20, rushing for 243 yards as a team. It wasn’t a one-man show — four players topped 45 rushing yards, including Dorian Moxley, who carried for 62 yards and two touchdowns.

Tonight, all eyes will be on Faris Stadium to see which team can claim the inside track to the district title.
