Early voting results show Jamieson leads Fort Worth Council District 10 race

Unofficial results show Chris Jamieson is leading the race for the Fort Worth City Council District 10 seat.

According to the unofficial early voting totals released on the websites of Tarrant, Denton, and Wise counties’ election offices, he has secured 1,115 votes, or 50.09% of the votes tallied so far.

Ortiz has garnered 1,111 votes, or 49.91%.

The details

The winner will replace Alan Blaylock, who is running for Texas House District 93. Blaylock had been on the council since 2022, starting at District 4, but shifted after redistricting the following year.

Ortiz and Jameison are business owners, according to previous reporting. Ortiz has previous experience as the district director under former council member Cary Moon.
