With polls closing in Brazoria County at 7 p.m., the first batch of unofficial election results show Jason A. Albert leading in the race for the Manvel City Council Position 5, according to unofficial results from Brazoria County.
Results are unofficial until canvassed at a later date.
What readers need to know
As of 7:45 p.m. p.m., Jason A. Albert has 304 votes, compared to Juston “JT” Thomson, who has 230 votes, early results show.
About the candidates
In a Q&A with Community Impact, Thomson said he wants to protect homeowners from carrying the cost of growth, make sure infrastructure keeps pace before expansion and keep city government transparent and straightforward.
Albert did not respond to the Q&A as of press time.
