LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – David Bruegel will be the next central Lubbock representative on the Lubbock city council.
He received 810 votes, 53.8 percent, in Saturday’s municipal election. Adam Hernandez garnered 612 votes, 40.6 percent; Gil Caley 84 votes, 5.6 percent.
Bruegel thanked those who voted for him. “For those that didn’t, I look forward to serving you, as well.”
He said his priorities are investing in Lubbock’s road infrastructure and making sure Lubbock continues to have a quality water supply.
Bruegel also said, “we’re going to make sure that 34th and 50th Streets continue to thrive and prosper, with new businesses coming in regularly.”
Bruegel will replace David Glasheen, who opted not to run for re-election. Bruegel previously served as the Lubbock County Republican Party Chairman.
