Daytime bridge work to impact traffic Wednesday and Thursday. Drivers urged to plan ahead and expect delays.
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Drivers can expect daytime lane closures on Park Road 22 near the JFK Causeway this week as crews work on bridge maintenance.
The Texas Department of Transportation said closures will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29 and Thursday, April 30.
Work will impact the Humble Channel bridge on Wednesday with alternating eastbound and westbound lane closures.
On Thursday, crews will close the westbound right lane and shoulder on the East Relief Channel bridge.
Officials say other lanes on the causeway will remain open, but drivers should expect delays and use caution in the work zone.
TxDOT said work is weather-dependent and could change.
