DALLAS (KLTV) – Former Hallsville Bobcat Matt Houston hit his ninth home run of the season in Louisiana Tech’s 9-7 loss to Dallas Baptist on Sunday.
The senior is hitting .329 this season with 15 RBI and 16 runs.
Houston started at first base and batted sixth. He went 2-for-3 with a walk, two RBI and three runs. In the eighth inning, Houston hit a solo home run over the left field wall that traveled 385 feet. In the ninth inning, Houston added an RBI with a sacrifice fly to left field, scoring Eli Berch.
Louisiana Tech (28-21, 15-9) plays Northwestern State at home on Tuesday.
