According to unofficial voting results released by Travis County at 9:15 p.m., incumbent Kara King remains in the lead over Elaina Fowler with 870, or 70.33% of votes. Fowler has received 367 votes, or 29.67%.
“I’m very happy and excited that the voters have elected me by a mandate to serve another term,” King said. “We have a lot of great projects ahead. We have a great City Council, and we’re looking forward to getting some great things accomplished.”

King is leading with 70.15% of the votes, while Elaina Fowler is trailing with 29.85%.

As of 7:21 p.m., King is leading with 69.92% of the votes. While Elaina Fowler is trailing with 30.08%.

Candidates for Bee Cave mayor include incumbent Kara King and Elaina Fowler.
King has been the mayor of Bee Cave since May 2020.
Before serving as mayor, King was a former Bee Cave City Council member, a member of the Bee Cave Home Rule Charter Committee and director of the Bee Cave Economic Development Board.
King believes that “smart growth” is important to Bee Cave and plans to manage growth by, “listening, communicating, building relationships and above all, advocating for residents,” King said in an email. She said she also wants to continue advocating for infrastructure improvements and building the Bee Cave “community atmosphere.”
“This spring marks 19 years that my family and I moved to Bee Cave,” King said. “I have poured my heart into caring for the people of Bee Cave, leading with integrity and transparency while also rolling up my sleeves and working side by side with members of our community to make Bee Cave the amazing city we all call home.”
Fowler has served as a chief of staff in the Texas House, a board commissioner and a government affairs director for the city of Austin, totaling 25 years in municipal, state and federal public policy, she said.
She believes “critical concerns” are arising due to “rapid growth and the lack of transparency and values to residents,” Fowler said in an email.
“I believe in the foundation of faith, family and community,” she said. “This drives commitment to transparency and accountability by ensuring that the voices of our neighbors are valued.”
