ANDREW is doubling down on its North Texas roots, announcing plans to relocate and expand its headquarters in Richardson with a more than $2 million investment tied to its new space and long-term growth strategy.
The move keeps the company, a global provider of wireless network infrastructure solutions, firmly within its Telecom Parkway corridor, shifting from 2601 Telecom Parkway to a nearby facility at 2920 Telecom Parkway. There, ANDREW will lease roughly 42,000 square feet of office, engineering and lab space under a minimum ten-year agreement, reinforcing its role as a long-standing corporate presence in the city.
A HQ Move That Stays Close To Home
While many corporate relocations come with a new ZIP code, this one barely leaves the block. The move will allow the company to upgrade the environment supporting its global headquarters, research and development teams, and advanced testing operations.
The company said the relocation is less about starting over and more about scaling what already exists.
“Richardson has been the historical home of ANDREW for decades, and we are proud to continue building our future here,” said Farid Firouzbakht, group general manager in an official statement. “This relocation is a natural evolution that allows us to strengthen our headquarters, expand our R&D and testing capabilities, and support the long-term growth of our global organization. Staying in Richardson reflects our commitment to continuity — honoring our roots while creating a foundation for the next chapter of innovation and leadership.”
The $2 Million Investment Behind The Move
As part of the relocation, ANDREW will invest more than $2 million into tenant improvements, along with new furniture, fixtures and equipment for the upgraded facility. The expansion also positions the company to retain its existing workforce in Richardson while opening the door for additional highly skilled roles over time.
City officials said the move signals continued confidence from a major employer already embedded in the local economy.
“ANDREW has long been a valued employer in Richardson, and we are pleased the company has chosen to further invest in its headquarters here,” said Richardson City Manager Don Magner. “This relocation underscores confidence in Richardson’s business climate and aligns with our strategic focus on attracting and retaining innovative companies that provide high-quality jobs and sustained economic investment.”
Local Support For Long-Term Growth
To support the expansion, the city of Richardson has approved a $150,000 business retention grant tied to ANDREW’s lease commitment, capital investment and workforce stability goals.
City economic development programs also include building modernization grants, tenant improvement support, permit fee waivers and job creation incentives, all designed to encourage companies to expand rather than relocate elsewhere.
For ANDREW, that combination of infrastructure, talent access and long-term support appears to be enough reason to keep its headquarters right where it is, just with a slightly newer address down the street.
