Texas Tech women’s soccer will host its final conference game at the John Walker Soccer Complex at 7 p.m. Thursday against the University of Central Florida.

Tech has won seven of its ten conference games this season and tied two. Tech’s only loss came against the University of Colorado Boulder on Thursday.

The Red Raiders returned home following last week’s loss and beat Kansas State University 3-1 on Sunday.

“We were happy that we had a Sunday game, so we could bounce back straight away,” said Nick Hallum, assistant coach. “We were really happy to see how the team performed.”

Hallam said one of UCF’s forwards is fast and similar to a forward from Baylor, which Tech beat 1-0 on Sept. 19.

“We’ll do some work. We’ll show the players some video,” Hallum said. “We’ve got some fast players too, so hopefully that’ll sort itself out.”

UCF is 5-1-4 in conference play, with its sole loss coming at the hands of the University of Arizona, which Tech beat 2-0 on Oct. 19.

Following its game against UCF, Tech will participate in the Big 12 Tournament on Nov. 3. Seeding for the tournament will not be available until after all Big 12 games conclude on Thursday.
