The Carrollton Police Department in Texas has released new details — including the reason why — about the Tuesday morning shooting that left two dead and three injured.
Officers were called out at 9:57 a.m to the 4000 block of State Highway 121 following reports of a shooting with multiple victims, according to Carrollton police.
Upon arrival, officers located four adult individuals with apparent gunshot wounds. One male has been confirmed dead and the three other individuals injured — two males and one female — were transported to an area hospital and are in “stable” condition.
Officers were notified during the investigation that there was a second reported shooting at 11:13 a.m. in the 2700 block of Old Denton Road. Once arriving at the location, officers located a deceased adult male inside an apartment.
The names of those injured and killed have not been released at this time.
The police investigation later revealed the shooting was carried out by the same gunman who had been identified as Seung Ho Han, 69. Police were able to take Han into custody at 12:12 p.m. after a short foot chase in the Koreatown area.According to CPD, during an interview with detectives, Han confessed to shooting all five individuals.
