Jim Wells County burglary suspect taken into custody in Corpus Christi

CORPUS CHRISTI — A man wanted in connection with a burglary in the Orange Grove area has been arrested in Corpus Christi, according to the Jim Wells County Sheriff’s Office.
Luis Frank Trigo, 49, was taken into custody Monday by the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offender Fugitive Task Force in Corpus Christi. He was wanted on an outstanding warrant out of Jim Wells County for burglary of a habitation.
The case began April 27 when deputies responded to a reported burglary in progress on County Road 352-2 in the Orange Grove area. Investigators with the Jim Wells County Sheriff’s Office identified Trigo and Monica Sendejo, 46, of Alice, as persons of interest.
Authorities said probable cause was established, and arrest warrants were issued for both suspects. Sendejo was later apprehended by Jim Wells County investigators and remains in custody at the Jim Wells County Jail on a $30,000 bond.
Following his arrest in Corpus Christi, Trigo was booked into the Nueces County Jail, where he is being held on an out-of-county charge tied to the burglary case. He is awaiting transfer back to Jim Wells County, with bond set at $30,000.
