This week, a San Antonio burger joint reopened after it was forced to temporarily close to recover from a car crash that left the building damaged.
Mad Mack’s Burger Co. took to Facebook on Tuesday, May 5, to announce that the locally adored burger shack was back in business. Less than a week earlier, a vehicle struck the front side of the restaurant, causing apparent damage to a small gate, a metal awning, wall paneling and the restaurant’s order window.
“First and foremost, we want to sincerely thank everyone for their kind thoughts, comments and prayers, they mean more than you know,” the business said in a Facebook post. “Stop by and see us this week. It was only a few days, but seemed much longer.”
While the restaurant has resumed regular business hours, it took several days for repairs to be made to the building. On April 30, Mad Mack’s let its followers know about the overnight crash via social media, sharing photos of the damaged building the morning after it occurred. Mad Mack’s Burger Co. is open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays, and noon to 6:30 p.m. on Saturdays.
